Macfarlane Travel launched in 2018 by Andrew Macfarlane, a traveller and a proud native of Scotland.
The need for travel didn’t just begin with Andrew. Tracing back to the late 1700s Duncan Macfarlane, Andrew’s Great Great Great Great Grandfather left Arrochar and settled in Strachur. His son Duncan then married and moved to Glasgow, where the family gained new roots throughout the late 1800s.
In the 1960s Robert Macfarlane, Andrew’s father set off to travel the world 3 times over with the Merchant Navy.
Instilling the vision of the world in Andrew and his siblings, travel was a part of life. Every year the family would travel and visit family members scattered around the globe.
From a young age Andrew Macfarlane has been a keen traveller and in the last few years immersed himself in Scottish Tourism.
Having travelled to many places around the world, Scotland and the Macfarlane Clan remain at the forefront of his heart.
In December 2017 he was voted to represent the International Clan Macfarlane Society (ICMS) as Scottish Commissioner.
2018 brings us Macfarlane Travel where experiences made over generations can be shared.
